APS Psychoanalytically Oriented Psychology Interest Group (POPIG)

POPIG is an Interest Group of the Australian Psychological Society, which provides a network for Psychoanalytically Oriented Psychologists. POPIG has members across the country, with active branches in Queensland, New South Wales, and South Australia. The state branches organise regular and special events for members and the broader community. 

The Australian Psychoanalytical Society (APAS) is a component society of the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA), an organisation of over 12,000 members worldwide.
APAS ensures the maintenance of ethical standards in the teaching and practice of psychoanalysis in Australia. We have branches in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.

The Australian Centre for Psychoanalysis (Inc AOO19394K, ABN 28 638 225 012) is a not-for-profit incorporated association dedicated to the practice, study and teaching of psychoanalysis, the training of analysts and research in the psychoanalytic field established by Sigmund Freud and extended by Jacques Lacan.

The BCPS offers seminars of both a practical and theoretical nature to teachers, social workers, psychiatrists, general practitioners, nurses, psychologists and others in the helping professions. Some of the courses offered are open to others who are interested in the contributions of psychoanalysis to modern thinking.

The BCPS operates independently as a non-profit educational body to promote the development of psychoanalytic thinking and its application in clinical and other disciplines.
